Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#0116; 01:52AM; 985 W 43rd St; ; Vermont Square; One-story, reportedly vacant strip mall with fire through the roof of multiple units upon fire department arrival. Firefighters proceeded in the defensive mode, utilizing master streams (e.g. ladder pipe, large-bore hand lines) to fight fire from outside the building. Two occupants noted inside an unburned portion of the building during operations — removed unharmed, with no further patients noted. Knockdown declared in 30 minutes with 37 firefighters working on scene.
